A seaside town at dawn with film lights on the pier – IELTS Listening Part 2 exam mode
Exam conditions: you hear the recording once, there are no hints or checks along the way, and you have one attempt.
Questions 11–20. Listen to the podcast and choose the correct letter, A, B or C, for each question.
  • After Start you have 30 seconds to read questions 11–16. Then the recording starts by itself.
  • Halfway through, the recording stops for 30 seconds so you can read questions 17–20. The screen tells you when.
  • You hear the recording once – no pausing or rewinding.
  • Choose one letter for each question; you can change it until you finish. The answers come in the same order as in the recording.
  • No hints and no checking along the way. You’ll see your result after “Finish exam”.
  • One attempt. Don’t reload the page during the recording. If this happens, your answers are saved, and the recording continues from the same point (press Continue).
Marks · how scoring works
  • Each correct answer = 1 mark. A wrong or blank answer = 0; no marks are taken off, so always choose a letter, even if you have to guess.
  • On the answer sheet you write only the letter (A, B or C). Two letters for one question = 0 marks.
  • Multiple choice (11–16) and matching (17–20) are marked the same way: 1 mark per question.
  • Here 10 questions = 10 marks (Part 2). The full test has 4 parts and 40 questions; your raw score out of 40 is converted to a band:
